MagicPay to Support Apple Pay Processing Technology

On September 9th, 2014 Apple has announced its entry to the mobile wallet industry by developing a new payment processing technology named Apple Pay. Apple Pay is a mobile app that offers easy and secure method of payment for consumers that own iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus. Using NFC technology Apple was able to develop a contactless payment processing system. This system is relatively easy to use and acts as a mobile wallet, allowing consumers to store multiple credit cards on file, securely.

As the new service is officially launched by Apple on October of 2014, MagicPay Merchant Services has announced its compatibility with the new service, allowing new and existing merchants to effortlessly accept Apple Pay payments.

New retail merchants will receive Ingenico terminals that support EMV and other contactless payment processing technology, including Apple Pay and Google Wallet. The new terminals will be offered through the existing free terminal placement program offered by MagicPay since early 2013.

“We believe Apple Pay and other mobile wallet technology methods are becoming popular among consumers, it is our duty to support new payment platforms in order to allow our merchants to accept as many more forms of payment as possible” said Rami Levi, a sales manager at MagicPay.

Beginning on October 20th, 2014 retailers will have Apple Pay available as a form of payment through retail terminals. Company officials also mentioned that they are planning to extend the new payment method to mobile payments. Many merchants today process payments through their mobile devices and as of now Apple Pay is not supported for them. MagicPay understands the concern and plans to launch the mobile payments integration with Apple Pay soon. Time estimate given to the project is 2 – 4 months.

MagicPay has continuously shown support and ongoing efforts to satisfy its clients. From the marketing software to the free POS system. The new integration of Apple Pay is just another small feature that contributes to the large experience the company has to offer.
